Welcome to the 2022 Fort Logan Ranch Production Sale. We are excited to partner with Ascent Auction to showcase our bulls. We have been selling bulls for a little over 20 years via private treaty and silent auctions but this will be the first year we have a live online auction. 2022 marks the 47th year we have been artificially inseminating our cowherd.
Our cowherd is focused on functional cattle that do a lot of things well. They need to have correct structure, temperament, and fertility to stay on the ranch. The majority of our cows are out of proven ABS genetics. We lean more towards the maternal side when choosing sires but make sure they also have enough growth and carcass traits to take it to the feedlot. The bulls are developed on the ranch with a high roughage ration, and walk at least a half a mile per day.
